So many things have changed, and others will also change in the coming months and years, since I started writing the old posts about ALM, that I felt I had to write a new guide from scratch instead of amending the existing articles.
The old guide covers pretty much everything needed to have a healthy ALM for your Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations projects, and most of it can still be used with no changes… except maybe some cosmetic changes on Azure DevOps 😅
With the new Unified development and administration experiences we’re going to get a new set of tools for our projects: PPAC, Power Platform tools for DevOps, the new “local” development, being able to use Git in a very straightforward way or deploy to production from a release pipeline… yes, you read “deploy to production”, that’s correct 😁
The articles in this new guide will include step-by-step guides of all of the above, written from scratch and with updated screenshots. Initially, it will only cover the F&O side, but my plan is to get to show a fully unified ALM where you automate both the ERP and Dataverse projects.
